Beginning Sewing
This class focuses on the basics of sewing with a sewing machine. The techniques to be taught in this class include: Machine operation and basic maintenance, Seams and seam finishes, Top stitched hems, Simple zipper insertion and Elastic casings. There will be three easy projects completed in the 4 – 3 hour sessions. Cost: $75.00.

Advanced Beginning Sewing
This class requires completion of the Beginning Sewing Class or prior sewing experience. It will build on information and techniques taught in the Beginning Class. The techniques to be taught in this class include: Fitting/Darts. Zipper insertion, Seam finishes, Waistband Application and Blind hem.
4 – 3 hour sessions. Cost: $75.00

Children’s Beginning Sewing
This class will teach children age 7 + the basics of sewing with a sewing machine. They will learn how to SAFELY use the machine, cutting fabric based on a pattern, basic seams, elastic casing and top stitched hem while making a pair of pull on pajama pants.
3 – 2 hour sessions. Cost: $60.00

Beginning Machine Quilting I
In this class you will make a 50”x50” Sampler / 4 different blocks, using strip piecing techniques. Blocks included are: Log Cabin, Courthouse Steps, Nine-Patch and Fence Rail. You will learn how to cut and prepare fabric, construct blocks and assemble into a quilt top.
4 – 3 hour sessions. Cost: $75.00

Beginning Machine Quilting II
In this class your quilt top will become a QUILT! Learn to layer the quilt top batting and backing, machine quilt and bind for a completed project.
3 – 3 hour sessions. Cost: $65.00

Machine Quilting III/Intermediate Techniques
This class builds on the beginning piecing/quilting skills and will include: Foundation piecing, Half-square triangles, Curved piecing, Mitered borders and binding.
4 – 3 hour sessions. Cost: $75.00

Machine Quilting Techniques
This class will focus on free motion quilting of the completed top, batting and backing, using stencils and other marked techniques as well as free motion/unmarked techniques.
Cost: $25.00/3 hour session.

Serger Classes I & II
These 2 classes include the many techniques that can be accomplished with the Serger – beyond the finishing of seams. The prerequisite for the serger classes are the operational classes given by dealers to learn the basics of threading and using the serger.
3 – 3 hour sessions. Cost: $65.00 + $25.00 for Workbook w/fabric.

Beginning Pattern Making
In Beginning Pattern Making will explore dart manipulation, adding fullness using half size basic blocks. These are the skills that need to be mastered for pattern making.

Bernina Software – Software Sampler
A monthly session that will incorporate a software/embroidery presentation by a Bernina Educator with a hands-on session to follow. This will increase your comfort level with Bernina Embroidery Software.
Cost: $25.00/3 hour session.

Embroidery Club
A hands-on session focusing on different embroidery techniques / projects, e.g. In-The–Hoop projects, Free Standing Lace, etc. Embroidery machine required.
Cost: $25.00/3 hour session.

Serger Club
The Serger Club is a project based class, offered monthly. It is a hands-on class with a specific project that will use the serger and the different accessory feet. It will be a good way to get more familiar with your serger and use it for more than finishing seams.
There will be a sample of the project in the store and a supply list for each session. Sign-up is required. There will need to be a minimum of 3 people signed up for each session or it will be cancelled.
All brands are welcome. Please bring your manual since we are not familiar with the operation of each serger manufactured.

BERNINA Club
The Bernina Club is a monthly session based on information/projects/techniques prepared and presented by a Bernina Educator that we, in turn, present to you. Each month will feature different projects and techniques using various Bernina presser feet. You will receive a CD with the presentation of the projects, project handouts and video clips of the featured presser feet. You will also have the opportunity to purchase or order any of the featured feet and supplies at a discount.
There will also be the opportunity to get hands on practice on some of the techniques presented. There will be samples of the project of the month available in the store.
